Pakistan is witnessing significant progress in business activities, with a record increase in registration of new companies.
According to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, three thousand, four hundred and forty-four new companies were registered in the month of February.
Following these new registrations, the total number of registered companies in the country has risen to two hundred, eighty seven thousand and forty nine.
Among the eighty two new companies, foreign investors were also involved, with China and the United States being prominent.
Global investors have focused on mining, trade and IT highlighting the significance of Pakistan’s resources and its emerging digital economy.
According to Finance Minister’s Advisor Khurram Schehzad nineteen major global companies including BYD, Google and Aramco have invested in Pakistan in the past fifteen months.
