On the directives of the Assistant Commissioner of Tehsil Noorpur Thal, Para Force teams have launched a series of raids to ensure the supply of petrol at officially notified prices and to provide relief to the public. The action aims to curb overcharging and prevent the sale of petrol at higher-than-prescribed rates.
Teams of the Para Force conducted surprise inspections at various petrol pumps and outlets across Tehsil Noorpur Thal. During the inspections, officials checked the price lists, quantity, and quality of petrol being sold. Pump owners were strictly directed to sell petrol only at the government-approved rates and to avoid any form of overcharging. Officials warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the rules.
The Assistant Commissioner stated that, in line with the directives of the Government of Punjab, providing maximum relief to the public is the top priority of the tehsil administration. He emphasized that profiteering and exploitation of the public would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and indiscriminate action would continue against violators.
Meanwhile, public and social circles have appreciated the efforts of the tehsil administration and paid tribute to the performance of the Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal and the Para Force. Citizens stated that such actions would discourage profiteering and provide real relief to the public.
Residents also urged the district administration to continue such measures on a regular basis to keep the prices of petrol and other essential commodities under control.
