Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali has directed authorities to take strict measures to remove encroachments and ensure smooth traffic flow in markets in view of the increasing rush ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Commissioner made it clear that no kind of encroachment—whether permanent or temporary—will be tolerated. He also warned that heavy fines will be imposed on double parking to maintain traffic discipline and facilitate shoppers.
During a meeting chaired by the Commissioner, progress on the ongoing development project under the City Beautification Plan at City Road and Kachehri Bazaar was reviewed. He directed the concerned departments to ensure completion of the work by May 31.
The Commissioner also listened to the concerns of traders participating in the meeting and issued instructions to the relevant officials for the immediate resolution of their problems.
