
Pakistan and China have reaffirmed the need to restore peace and stability in the Middle East and the wider region.
This commitment was expressed during a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi today.
Ishaq Dar further revealed, in a post on X, that he and Chinese Foreign Minister discussed the evolving situation in the West Asia.
They agreed to support all efforts aimed at ensuring an immediate end to hostilities, resumption of peace talks, protection of non-combatants, security of shipping lanes, and adherence to the UN Charter.
The two leaders also agreed to continue their endeavours for the resolution of all disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
Wang Yi conveyed China’s appreciation and support to Pakistan for its ongoing efforts in this regard.
