A crime review meeting was held under the chairmanship of RPO Sargodha Range, Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan, at the Safe City Committee Room. The meeting was attended by DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, SP RIB Azhar Yaqoob, SP Operations Safe City Aamir Mushtaq, SP Investigation Imran Abbas, and SDPOs from Sadr, Bhalwal, Bhera, Kot Momin, and Shahpur.
During the meeting, the performance of all subdivisions was reviewed. Progress on cases under investigation was discussed, and various proposals for crime prevention were considered.
RPO Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan directed that all pending investigations should be concluded on merit and in a timely manner. He emphasized the need for effective measures to curb crime and stated that eliminating drug trafficking requires thorough and error-free investigations so that offenders can be awarded appropriate punishment.
He further noted that the conviction rate for the current year stands at 62 percent, which is an improvement compared to last year; however, there is still room for further progress.
The RPO also instructed officials to accelerate the ongoing crackdown against proclaimed offenders to ensure their early arrest.
