
Additional Director General (Central Zone) of the Agriculture (Plant Protection) Department Punjab, Ahmed Naveed Ahsan, held meetings with relevant stakeholders in Sargodha district to conduct a detailed review of departmental activities.
He advised applicants for pesticide dealer licenses to ensure mandatory training and to focus on the responsible use of agricultural chemicals. He stated that complete awareness regarding the proper use of pesticides and precautionary measures is essential not only for human health but also for environmental protection.
On this occasion, accompanied by Director Agriculture (Plant Protection) Sargodha Division, Muhammad Tayyab Hindal, and Ejaz Ahmed Qaisrani, he also visited kinnow orchards in the area and expressed satisfaction over their overall condition.
Ahmed Naveed Ahsan directed that, following the recent rains, timely spraying of fungicides should be carried out in kinnow orchards to effectively prevent citrus scab, melanose, and other fungal diseases.
He further stated that the Agriculture Department will continue to provide all possible guidance to farmers through modern techniques and effective monitoring to ensure increased agricultural productivity and the supply of quality crops.
