Book Launch Ceremony of “Khushboo-E-Tabassum” held at Radio Pakistan Sargodha FM 101 Program “Adab Nama”

A book launch ceremony of renowned poet and writer Suleman Jazib, who is based in Dubai, was organized in the program “Adab Nama” on Radio Pakistan Sargodha FM 101. The book titled “Khushboo-e-Tabassum” comprises articles written by eminent writers on the life, personality, and literary services of the late Professor Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum.

The program was hosted by Munza Anwar Goindi, while Fariha Kanwal served as producer and Nauman Shafiq as studio engineer.

The author Suleman Jazib and co-author Zulfiqar Ahsan specially participated in the program. The panel of speakers included well-known writer Mumtaz Arif, Professor Yousaf Khalid, writer Najma Mansoor, renowned author Dr. Samina Gul, Dr. Murtaza Hassan Shirazi, Arshad Mahmood Arshad, Dr. Yousaf Malik, Muhammad Ali Tabassum, social worker Abida Nazar, Ms. Rahma, and Nauman Mubashir.

At the beginning of the program, host Munza Anwar Goindi said that today’s gathering was not merely about words but about emotions, as Dr. Haroon Rasheed had always spread love among people.

Speaking on the occasion, Mumtaz Arif said that the publication of “Khushboo-e-Tabassum” within a short span of one to one and a half months is a commendable achievement, for which Suleman Jazib deserves congratulations. He further stated that a dynamic writer and personality like Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum is difficult, if not impossible, to find again, and he was among the most prolific writers of the Sargodha literary circle.

Professor Yousaf Khalid said that Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum had numerous dimensions of personality which are difficult to fully encompass. He carried out his responsibilities with dedication and left behind an unmatched legacy.

Suleman Jazib stated that Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum was not only his teacher but also his mentor, and his guidance in the literary journey is unforgettable. Zulfiqar Ahsan said that Dr. Tabassum was a “walking literary history,” who not only remained active himself but also motivated others. He respected everyone and wrote about people from all walks of life.

Najma Mansoor remarked that arranging contributions from so many writers in such a short time is itself a remarkable achievement, for which Suleman Jazib deserves credit. She added that this is the first book published after Dr. Tabassum’s demise, and it carries a spiritual influence as well.

Dr. Samina Gul, one of his students, said she feels proud to have learned from him, as he always appreciated everyone’s work and respected all viewpoints.

Dr. Murtaza Hassan Shirazi said that Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum lived multiple lives in one lifetime, and although his passing has left the literary world in mourning, this book has rekindled intellectual energy.
Arshad Mahmood Arshad said that there is no parallel to Dr. Tabassum in literary history, as he treated everyone with equal love and encouragement.

Dr. Yousaf Malik described him as a true lover of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, a patriot, and an admirer of Allama Iqbal.

Social worker Abida Nazar called the program a “bouquet of thoughts” and expressed her gratitude for being part of it, saying that learning from such towering personalities is a blessing.

Muhammad Ali Tabassum, the grandson of Dr. Haroon Rasheed Tabassum, said that the principles and values his grandfather instilled in him will always remain a guiding force in his life.

Ms. Rahma and Nauman Mubashir expressed sorrow over Dr. Tabassum’s demise, stating that he won hearts and his absence is deeply felt.
