
Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has announced that work on the four hundred and eighty kilometers long Rohri-Karachi track will start in September with an estimated cost of two billion dollars.
Addressing a function in Karachi, the Minister said that Pakistan Railways and Punjab Government have inked an agreement to modernize and expand rail services across the province.
He said Pakistan Railways has fourteen schools across the country for facilitating education of its employees’ children.
Hanif Abbasi said Pakistan Railways has entered into partnership with ‘The International School’ to ameliorate the condition of the Railway School Karachi and ensure quality education for the children of its employees.
