Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar and DPO Khushab Dr. Ammarah Shirazi chaired an important meeting in the conference hall regarding arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha. The meeting reviewed security measures, cleanliness plans, water supply, traffic management, and other administrative preparations for the upcoming religious festival.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Khushab Ghazala Kanwal, Assistant Commissioner Khushab Chaudhry Ziaullah, CEO Municipal Committee Khushab Sundus Rabail, District Incharge Suthra Punjab Saim Waris, MD WASA Khushab Ali Bajwa, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Ali Hussain, and officers from Civil Defense, Livestock Department, Wildlife Department, Punjab Police, Traffic Police, Patrolling Police, Sui Gas, NTC, Health Department, and other concerned departments.
During the meeting, officers from various departments briefed the Deputy Commissioner on Eid-ul-Adha planning, security arrangements, sanitation measures, rescue preparedness, and related matters.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar directed the Livestock Department to ensure spraying of animals brought to cattle markets and to maintain complete records of traders entering the markets. He also instructed the authorities to provide tents, washrooms, and other essential facilities at cattle markets.
The Deputy Commissioner directed WASA, Municipal Committee, and Suthra Punjab officials to ensure excellent cleanliness, sewerage, and drainage arrangements in mosques, Eidgahs, parks, public places, bus stands, markets, streets, and residential areas during Eid-ul-Adha. He emphasized that sacrificial waste should be disposed of immediately outside the city through an effective system to maintain a clean and healthy environment for citizens. He further instructed that uninterrupted water supply be ensured throughout the Eid holidays.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar also directed officers of Police, Rescue 1122, Sui Gas, NTC, Health, and other departments to perform their duties efficiently and remain fully alert. He instructed the security branch and relevant departments to take immediate action against any suspicious activity or elements attempting to create unrest. He further ordered that all control rooms and helplines remain operational round the clock to ensure prompt response during any emergency situation.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all concerned officers to visit mosques, Eidgahs, and shrines to personally review security and other arrangements and to ensure practical implementation of all measures.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Khushab Dr. Ammarah Shirazi stated that foolproof security arrangements were being finalized for Eid-ul-Adha and that the police duty roster was in its final stages. She said police personnel would perform their duties diligently to ensure the safety and security of citizens during the Eid holidays.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Khushab reaffirmed that the district administration would ensure full implementation of all necessary arrangements and government directives to facilitate citizens during Eid-ul-Adha.
