Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a special interactive session with the faculty members and students of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Islamabad.

Upon his arrival at the university, the DG ISPR received a warm welcome from teachers, faculty members, and students.

During the session, he held a detailed discussion on national security issues, including counter-terrorism and information warfare.

The DG ISPR also gave comprehensive and well-reasoned answers to questions raised by students during the interactive session.

After the session, participants said that many misconceptions were cleared and they gained comprehensive awareness regarding the responsible use of social media.

They said the historic victory in “Marka-e-Haq” has further strengthened and elevated Pakistan’s dignity and global image.

The participants paid tribute to the unmatched sacrifices rendered by the armed forces of Pakistan for the defence of the motherland.

They emphasized that raising awareness among youth about fake news, negative propaganda, and the dangers of hybrid warfare is the need of the hour.

The participants also stressed that it is essential to verify the authenticity of any news or information through credible sources before sharing it on social media.

In his remarks, Vice Chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan urged the younger generation to play a positive role for the stability and security of Pakistan.

Teachers and students reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity with the armed forces in view of the threats facing national security.

Students from different cities, particularly Waziristan, highly appreciated the special session and described it as a positive and effective initiative.
