A ceremony was organized at the office of the Sargodha Union of Journalists in Company Bagh to commemorate the completion of one year of the historic victory in the “Battle of Truth” (Maarka-e-Haq). The event formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, which was performed by Joint Secretary Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti, while Fatima Khan had the honor of presenting Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Ahmad Mujtaba (Peace Be Upon Him). Distinguished guests were warmly welcomed at the ceremony.

The stage secretary duties were efficiently carried out by Abdul Wahab Chaudhry. President of the Union of Journalists, Sheikh Muhammad Rizwan, presented the welcome address.

Later, Group Leader Khalid Asghar Sheikh said that on the instructions of RPO Sargodha Shahzad Asif Khan, all district officers had been brought together today to reaffirm unity for the survival and security of Pakistan. He stated that everyone stands united and, God willing, will remain united in the future as well.
Senior journalist Mian Maqsood-ul-Hassan, while addressing the gathering, appreciated SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar for organizing blood donation camps and announced that the journalists’ union would also soon arrange blood donation drives and camps.

During the ceremony, speakers said that only living nations celebrate their victories. They remarked that one year had been completed since Pakistan’s historic success against Indian aggression in May 2025, known as “Maarka-e-Haq,” and the day was being observed as a “Day of Gratitude.”

SP Investigation Imran Chadhar also participated specially in the event. In his address, he said that this battle was not only won on the battlefield but also at national and institutional levels across all sectors of the country. He added that the entire nation pays tribute to the martyrs and war heroes who stood like a steel wall in defense of the homeland.

Among others present at the ceremony were PRO DPO Sargodha Khurram Iqbal, senior journalist Rana Sajid Iqbal, former President of the Union of Journalists and Chairman of the Union of Journalists Abdul Samad Shaheen, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Imtiaz Khan, Ejaz Chaudhry, Nazish Khan, Maria Mughal, M. Ehsan-ul-Haq, M. Haris, Vice President of the Union of Journalists Abdul Mannan Chaudhry, Mirza Tanveer, and a large number of journalists.
