President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, and Senior Executive Vice President of the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association, Bashir Malik, have welcomed the organization of national-level tennis competitions in Sahiwal and praised the efforts of Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail.
They expressed these views in their joint video statement issued in connection with the Sahiwal National Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament 2026.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi stated that, under the patronage and support of Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail, Sahiwal will host National Junior Ranking and Senior National-Level Tennis Championships for the first time from June 2 to June 7, 2026. He said that the event would prove to be a significant milestone in promoting tennis in the region.
He also paid tribute to the services of Bashir Malik for the development and promotion of tennis in Punjab and expressed his pleasure at visiting Sahiwal.
Senior Executive Vice President of the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association, Bashir Malik, said that a national-level tennis tournament is being held in Sahiwal after a long gap, and the credit goes to the special interest, support, and patronage of Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail.
He added that such events provide young players with an opportunity to showcase their talent and play an important role in the promotion and development of tennis in the region.
