President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) District Khushab and former Senator Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi held a special meeting with Deputy Commissioner Khushab Jahanzeb Hussain Laber to discuss public issues, ongoing development projects, and various matters related to public welfare and community development.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jahanzeb Hussain Laber briefed Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi on the progress of several key public welfare initiatives being undertaken by the Government of Punjab. He informed him that construction work on the charging terminals for the electric bus project is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed by June 7. Following the completion of the charging infrastructure and subject to approval by the Punjab Government, the electric bus service is likely to be launched during the second week of June.
Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi appreciated the efforts of the Punjab Government and the district administration to provide modern, environmentally friendly, and high-quality transportation facilities to the public. He stated that the introduction of the electric bus service would offer citizens a comfortable, safe, and cost-effective mode of transportation while significantly contributing to the reduction of environmental pollution.
Later, Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi visited the under-construction electric bus terminal and conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing construction and technical work. During the visit, the concerned officials briefed him on various stages of the project, technical aspects, and operational planning.
Expressing optimism about the project’s timely completion, Dr. Niazi said that the initiative would soon be opened to the public and would mark a significant step toward the promotion of a modern transportation system in the region. He added that the project would greatly improve public transport facilities and help address the travel difficulties faced by residents of the district.
