Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said Pakistan’s Engage Africa Policy reflects its commitment to expanding and deepening political, economic and cultural relations with African countries on a sustainable basis.
Addressing Happy Africa Day ceremony in Islamabad, he said Pakistan views Africa not only as a diplomatic partner but also as a central pillar of its broader foreign policy outreach. He mentioned that Pakistan has steadily expanded its diplomatic network across Africa in recent years.
He said cooperation between Pakistan and African countries spans trade, education, capacity building, health and defense, with the objective of achieving mutual benefit and shared prosperity.
Attaullah Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing collaboration in areas that can better showcase the positive image of both Africa and Pakistan.
He proposed the establishment of a joint platform dedicated to promoting African culture, music, heritage, traditions and values. He stressed the need to expand cultural exchanges between Pakistan and African countries.
He said the friendship between Pakistan and Africa will always remain strong and enduring.
