Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghoor, Coordinator to the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Communications and MNA, Engineer Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghoor, met with Superintending Engineer (SE) Irrigation Muhammad Imtiaz, Chief Engineer Irrigation Muhammad Nawaz, and Executive Engineer (XEN) Yasir Munir at the Greater Thal Canal Office in Adhi Kot.
Following the meeting, Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghoor, accompanied by the irrigation officials, visited the Greater Thal Canal to inspect the project and review its progress.
During the visit, detailed discussions were held regarding the final estimates, implementation procedures, and other administrative matters related to operating the Noorpur Distributary from the head of the Greater Thal Canal.
According to the Coordinator, practical steps will soon be taken to ensure the supply of water from the Greater Thal Canal to irrigate approximately 1,700 acres of agricultural land across five villages in Tehsil Noorpur Thal. He expressed confidence that the initiative would help resolve the irrigation problems faced by local farmers and contribute to increased agricultural productivity in the region.
