A meeting of the Tehsil Peace Committee, Noorpur Thal, was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal Shazia Rehman in connection with the preparations for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Religious scholars, spiritual leaders and members of the Peace Committee representing various schools of thought attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed arrangements regarding law and order, cleanliness and security for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Assistant Commissioner Shazia Rehman directed the Suthra Punjab sanitation staff to ensure comprehensive cleanliness of streets, neighbourhoods, roads and public places on the occasion.
She further instructed the concerned staff to remove bushes and vegetation obstructing roads and pathways so that processions and public movement could take place smoothly. She also stressed the need for effective security arrangements to ensure the safety of the public and participants.
DSP Noorpur Thal Muhammad Akram, SHO Noorpur Thal Muhammad Ijaz Dhool and all members of the Peace Committee were also present on the occasion.
The religious scholars and members of the Peace Committee assured the administration of their full cooperation in maintaining peace, religious harmony and brotherhood on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
