Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Range Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan has said that no leniency will be shown to those who put human lives at risk. He directed that indiscriminate legal action be taken against drivers and vehicle owners responsible for causing traffic accidents.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on traffic management. The meeting was attended by district police officers, senior officers of the Special Branch, SP Operations Safe City, Punjab Highway Patrol, District Traffic Officers and the Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA).
The RPO directed the SP Patrolling and District Traffic Officers to prepare inquiry reports into fatal traffic accidents and expedite action against helmet and one-way violations. He further instructed the SP Operations Safe City to ensure that Safe City cameras are activated at the earliest so that compliance with traffic laws can be effectively monitored and enforced on major highways.
