A meeting to review the performance report of Rescue 1122 Khushab for the month of August was held at the Punjab Emergency Service Office, Khushab, under the chairmanship of District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain.
District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain said that the Punjab Emergency Service received a total of 16,327 calls during August, of which 4,108 were emergency calls. He said that Rescue 1122 maintained its response time and successfully rescued 4,180 victims during the month.
According to the report, Rescue 1122 dealt with 416 road traffic accidents, 3,146 medical emergencies, 12 fire incidents, 60 crime-related emergencies, six drowning incidents and 465 other emergencies. The latter included workplace injuries, animal and bird rescues and other emergency situations.
Rescue personnel provided on-site first aid to 1,390 victims with minor injuries, while 2,720 seriously injured or critically affected patients were provided timely medical assistance and shifted to local hospitals.
Regarding the Patient Referral Service, Ali Hussain said that 358 patients were transferred from one government hospital to another government hospital to ensure better and more appropriate medical treatment.
The District Emergency Officer appreciated the performance of the Rescue 1122 staff and emphasized that providing timely and effective emergency services to citizens remains the department’s foremost priority.
