On the special directives of Deputy Inspector General and Head of Traffic Punjab Lahore Waqas Nazir and District Police Officer Khushab Dr. Ammara Shirazi, District Traffic Officer Khushab Syed Qamar Iqbal Haider held a meeting with Chief Executive Officer, District Education Authority Khushab, Muhammad Isa Lali. The meeting discussed measures to raise awareness among students about traffic laws and road safety.
Following the meeting, CEO District Education Authority Khushab Muhammad Isa Lali issued a notification to the heads of all public and private educational institutions across the district, directing them to take the following measures for the safety of students:
- Underage students are strictly prohibited from riding scooters or motorcycles.
- Students aged 16 to 18 years must obtain a driving permit in accordance with the law before riding a motorcycle.
- All students and staff members must wear helmets while riding motorcycles.
- Motorcycle brakes and indicators must be kept in proper working condition.
- Students must be regularly educated about traffic laws, road safety and safe road-crossing practices.
According to District Traffic Police Khushab, the road safety awareness campaign will be further strengthened in educational institutions throughout the district in collaboration with the District Education Authority. The initiative aims to promote responsible citizenship among young people and help them become safer and more responsible road users.
