President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the Pakistan Navy for its successful anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.
In separate statements, both leaders praised the Navy’s professionalism and vigilance, highlighting its important role in safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and preventing illicit trafficking through sea routes.
According to ISPR, Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK seized more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics, with an estimated value of approximately $750 million, during a joint counter-narcotics operation. The ships intercepted a suspicious boat while on routine patrol and recovered the narcotics from concealed compartments.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf also commended the officers and crew for their professionalism and vigilance, reaffirming the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea.
