Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal Shazia Rehman has said that all available resources are being utilized to promote public welfare, while the Punjab government is taking measures on a priority basis to improve the living standards of the people. She said that no effort would be spared in this regard.
She expressed these views during a special meeting with President Noorpur Thal Press Club Seth Samar Sultan and Senior Journalist Raja Noor Ilahi Atif at her office. Shazia Rehman said that efforts were being made to provide citizens with better recreational facilities through Rehmat Park Noorpur Thal.
She said that the Commissioner Sargodha Division had recently visited Noorpur Thal to review the city’s beautification project and issued necessary directions. The completion of the project would further enhance the beauty of the city and provide citizens with a better environment.
The Assistant Commissioner further stated that during the recent visit of the Punjab Secretary Health to Noorpur Thal, the need for appointing additional specialist doctors at the THQ Hospital had been brought to his attention. She expressed hope that progress would soon be made in this regard. She said that the appointment of specialists in various medical fields would provide better healthcare facilities to local residents and reduce the need for patients to travel to distant cities for treatment.
In response to a question, Shazia Rehman said that efforts were being made to obtain the special cooperation of philanthropists as well as the District Administration Khushab for the construction of a dedicated building for the District Public School Noorpur Thal. She said the objective was to provide children in the area with better opportunities for quality education.
Responding to another question, the Assistant Commissioner said that consultations were continuing with Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar regarding the arrangements for the annual historic Mela of Baba Sakhi Siden Shah Bukhari.
During the meeting, the journalists also apprised Assistant Commissioner Shazia Rehman of various issues concerning the Tehsil Headquarters Noorpur Thal, the city and other areas of the region. She assured them that necessary measures would be taken gradually to address public issues and improve civic facilities in the area.
