Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said Turkiye is doing its best to push for intra-Palestinian reconciliation.

At a meeting in Ankara with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas and head of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, Erdogan said a lack of unity among the Palestinians benefited those who wanted to undermine peace.

After the talks, Abbas invited all Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, to attend a meeting of the heads of the factions in Cairo on Sunday.
