Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a subsidy of 10 billion rupees to provide flour to the public at reduced rates.
During an urgent meeting via video link, the Chief Minister expressed concern over rising flour and wheat prices and took notice of artificially inflated market prices.
The meeting decided to increase the quota of subsidized government wheat allocated to flour mills.
Maryam Nawaz said the government would use all available resources to ensure the availability of flour at affordable rates.
