Women leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation and the rise in terrorist incidents across the province.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, they said the poor governance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has exposed the incompetence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, Member of the National Assembly Samar Haroon Bilour highlighted that during PTI’s thirteen-year rule in the province, reports by independent institutions indicate that over forty-six thousand people have lost their lives due to terrorism.
MNA Ghazala Anjum emphasized that safeguarding the lives and property of the public should be the top priority of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
She criticized Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi for prioritizing agitational politics and long marches over public safety.
MNA Dr Shaista Jadoon stressed that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve a bright career and a secure future rather than “container politics”.
She called on the provincial leadership to step down if it cannot fulfill its fundamental duty of ensuring good governance and providing security.
