Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has called for increased investment and modern technology to strengthen Pakistan’s poultry industry and boost agricultural growth.

Addressing the International Poultry Exhibition at the Expo Centre in Lahore, he said the government was working to create a business-friendly environment for investors.

Aurangzeb said Pakistan ranked 11th globally in poultry production, producing around 2.5 billion kilogrammes of meat and 28 million eggs, while poultry exports stood at just 4 million dollars.

He stressed that investment and technological advancement could enhance productivity and expand export opportunities.
