Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Phase-II of the Livestock Card scheme in Lahore today.
Under the scheme, interest-free loans and other facilities will be provided to livestock farmers across the province.
The loans will help farmers purchase cattle feed, silage and mineral mixtures to improve animal nutrition and increase meat production.
Farmers will repay the principal amount, while the Punjab Government will bear the interest cost.
