An inauguration ceremony was held in Tehsil Noorpur Thal under the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s flagship programme, “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” (Own Farm, Own Livelihood). The ceremony was presided over by Abdul Majid Khan, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension, Khushab.
The guests of honour included Member of the Punjab Assembly Sardar Zafar Abbas Khan, Malik Guldad Khan, Coordinator to Member of the National Assembly Engineer Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghur, and Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal Shazia Rehman.
During the ceremony, pay orders for development grants were distributed among farmers who had been declared successful under the programme.
On the occasion, the farmers were advised to utilise the grants exclusively for developing their allotted agricultural land, enhancing soil productivity, and promoting agricultural activities. The initiative aims to increase agricultural output while improving farmers’ incomes and strengthening their economic prospects.
The ceremony also highlighted the importance of making effective use of available resources to promote agricultural development and improve the economic well-being of the farming community.
Agriculture Officer Rana Muhammad Rizwan efficiently performed the duties of stage secretary during the ceremony.
