Crackdown against power pilferers is in full swing across the country.

In Islamabad, IESCO Chief Dr Muhammad Amjad said FIRs have been registered against the power pilferers in their respective police stations, and some of them have been arrested.

He expressed confidence in the success of this government-led campaign with the full dedication of officers and staff.

In Lahore, applications for FIRs against all electricity thieves have been filed in the respective police stations, out of which 222 FIRs have been registered while 34 people were arrested.

LESCO spokesperson said illegal connections have been disconnected and they have been charged 777,711 units of detection bill amounting to over 409,452,699 rupees.

In Peshawar, on directives of Deputy Commissioner Shah Fahad district administration teams along with WAPDA officials are engaged in operation against power theft.

The teams have registered FIRs against the electricity pilferers.
