Caretaker Minister for National Food Security and Research Dr Kausar Abdullah Malik has sought FAO’s support to increase capacity of Pakistani experts in the field of agriculture, livestock and fisheries.

He was talking to representative of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Pakistan Ms. Florence Rolle in Islamabad.

Dr Kausar Malik said the existing collaboration between the FAO and Pakistan to address food insecurity and sustainable agricultural production is very satisfactory.

The FAO representative said his organization will provide support to drive innovation, transformation and digitization in the agriculture sector and food systems.

He assured to help the ministry of national health services to improve soybean production in the country to meet growing domestic needs.
