Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has stressed the importance of dialogue, transcending ideological and political differences, in order to take the country forward.

He was addressing an event in connection with the launch of prominent writer Farooq Adil’s book ‘Hum Nay Jo Bohla Diya: Tareekh-e-Pakistan Kay Gumshuda Auraq in Islamabad today.

The Information Minister underscored the need to lower the political temperature rather than escalating it, emphasizing that open-hearted discussions should occur regarding the challenges facing the country to chart a forward path. He assured that the state media including Radio Pakistan and the PTV will provide the necessary support in this endeavor by offering their platforms for a civilized discussion.

The Information Minister regretted the path being pursued by certain political figures is not that of development but destruction.

The Information Minister expressed appreciation for Farooq Adil’s book, noting that it covers various aspects of our history. He stated that the book serves as a rearview mirror.

Later talking to the media persons, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi said Election Commission is responsible for conducting elections and government is bound to support it in ensuring free, fair and transparent elections.

He said we are going into election phase.

To a query about Pak-China relations, the minister said China-Pakistan relations are everlasting and their future is very bright.

The Information Minister stressed the need to ensure credible and reliable information, saying determination of responsible journalism is essential.

Murtaza Solangi underscored the need to lead country on the path of development.  He said there is dire need to strengthen every sector.
