Palestine has condemned Israel for arresting candidates racing for the Palestinian local council elections in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, Palestinian Central Elections Committee termed the arrest a blatant interference in Palestinian internal affairs and called for immediate release of the detained candidates.
According to elections commission, the second phase of municipal elections will be held on Saturday.
