Chairperson of National Commission on the Status of Women Nilofar Bakhtiar has said transforming education system to integrate solutions for prevention and mitigation of emerging issues of Gender-Based Violence is the only strategic way to combat these deep rooted social issues.
She was addressing a function about the issues of Gender-Based Violence and gender disparity in education organized by Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad.
The title of the project was ‘Gender Mainstreaming & GBV for human capital investment project (KP-HCIP)’ with the aim of mitigating GBV and violence against children in 1000 schools in 13 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
