Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says the government is committed to combating terrorism.

During an informal conversation with journalists covering the Election Commission at a lunch in Islamabad today, he said we need consensus at the national level to solve the country’s problems.

The Minister said it is necessary to choose qualified leadership to deal with the challenges faced by Pakistan.

He said Pakistan faces challenges like political divisions and economic difficulties and the next elected government will work seriously to deal with these problems.

Murtaza Solangi expressed hope that the upcoming elected government will work for the betterment of the country and the people.

He said caretaker government is working under the constitution and we try to perform the responsibility in the best possible manner.

The Minister said the Election Commission is taking all possible steps to conduct free, fair and impartial elections.
