Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Ibrahim Taha has urged member states to redouble efforts to mobilize responsibility of international community towards stopping the aggression and genocide against Palestinian people.

He was addressing the 15th OIC Islamic Summit Conference that commenced in Gambia’s capital Banjul, under the theme: ‘Enhancing Unity and Solidarity through Dialogue for Sustainable Development’.

He also called on the OIC Member States to continue to mobilize international support for the recognition of the State of Palestine and help it attain full membership in the United Nations.

About Kashmir issue, the OIC Secretary General said the right to self-determination for people of Jammu and Kashmir remains a priority for the Organization.
