President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have felicitated the nation and entire Muslim Ummah at the advent of sacred month of Ramadan Mubarak.   

In his message, the President said Allah Almighty has given Muslims the month of Ramadan which is full of His blessings, forgiveness and glory.

He said Allah Almighty made fasting mandatory so that Muslims could become pious and stay away from the evils of backbiting, abuse, fraud and bribery.

Dr Arif Alvi prayed Allah Almighty to shower blessings of Ramadan on the Muslims and make Pakistan a developed and prosperous country.

In his message, Prime Minister Imran Khan greeted people of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah at the advent of Ramazan and said that this Ramazan holds special significance as we are faced with a struggle between good and evil.

He said Allah Almighty has blessed us with the supreme gift of conscience to choose between right and wrong.

The Prime Minister said he strived for establishing a welfare state on the model of Riasat-e-Madina where every citizen, irrespective of status, wealth, cast and creed has equal rights and where the rule of law prevails. 

Imran Khan prayed to Almighty Allah that this Ramadan brings peace, happiness and contentment for all believers and our beloved country.
