In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists lodged in different jails of India and the territory.

APHC leaders Jameel Mir and Dr Musaib in a joint statement in Srinagar said the freedom-loving people of Kashmir are peacefully struggling to secure their birthright to self-determination but Indian forces have implicated thousands of Kashmiris in fake and baseless cases and lodged them in various prisons of India and Kashmir.

India is continuously violating all international laws and conventions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and people are even deprived of their basic human rights in the territory.

According to the Kashmir Media Service report released on Sunday, India is using black laws like Public Safety Act and Unlawful Activities Act in IIOJK to arrest Kashmiris.

The report said as part of snatching Kashmiris’ identity, India is granting domicile status to non-locals on fast-track basis.

It said that giving domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris is a clear violation of international law and the UN resolutions on Kashmir.

The report said the RSS-backed BJP regime is plotting to deprive Kashmiris of their identity.

It said India must be punished for violating global laws and agreements in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Japan’s largest and oldest English-language daily, the Japan Times has slammed the Indian authorities for limiting free speech and harassing journalists in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The paper in its latest edition noted that repeated arrest of journalist Aasif Sultan under different black laws is an example of how Indian authorities have weaponized the legal system to curtail freedom of expression.
