Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan says the government is revamping the health sector according to modern era to provide better medical treatment to the public.

In a statement issued in Peshawar on Saturday, he said the government is upgrading all the District Headquarters Hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to reduce the burden of patients on major hospitals.

Mahmood Khan said one hundred and thirty-two projects costing twenty-five billion rupees have been included in the health sector in the current budget while ten billion rupees have been allocated for health card project.

The Chief Minister said more than three thousand doctors including specialists have been recruited in hospitals to overcome doctors’ shortage during the last four years.
