Pakistani journalists have reached a new milestone on the global stage with the announcement of the formation of the *Pakistan Media Journalists Forum International. Journalists from over 40 countries, working across the world, participated in the forum, expressing their commitment to unite the Pakistani journalistic community on a single platform globally. The first meeting of the forum was held today, where the constitution of the forum was approved, and the official announcement of the General Body office-bearers for the next two years was made.

The forum aims to effectively voice the concerns of Pakistani journalists globally, enhance the standard of journalism, and promote Pakistan’s positive image. In an online meeting, the office-bearers elected to the General Body included renowned columnist and presidential awardee Irfan Siddiqui, who was appointed as the Patron-in-Chief from Japan. Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar from Saudi Arabia was appointed as the Central Chairman, while Dr. Abdul Rahman Osama from Russia was made the Central President.

Jehanzeb Amjad from Riyadh was elected as the Vice President. Senior Vice Presidents included Sheikh Ejaz Afzal from the UK and Tariq Rafiq Bhatti from Spain. Safina Khan from the UK was named General Secretary, Shakeel Ahmed as Deputy General Secretary, and Imran Mazmul from Switzerland was selected as Joint Secretary.

Sultan Luqman from Dubai was appointed as Secretary Information, and Riyaz Baloch from Austria was named Finance Secretary. Additionally, senior journalists from various countries were assigned responsibilities as chapter heads, including Asim Siddiqui from the USA, Raja Ghafur Afzal from Denmark (Europe Chapter Head), Muhammad Aamir Siddiq from Austria (Honorary), Ashfaq Anwar from South Africa, Tanveer Irshad from Italy, and Mian Tanveer Sahil from Kuwait.

On this occasion, the newly elected office-bearers pledged to fulfill their roles and further strengthen the forum. They expressed their determination to unite Pakistani journalists worldwide and work together to improve the standards of Pakistani media across different countries. The forum’s organizers believe this union will give Pakistani journalists a stronger voice and have an impact on global issues concerning Pakistan. Through this platform, Pakistani journalists will benefit from each other’s experiences and showcase the achievements of Pakistani media on the global stage.
