Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, while addressing the passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, strongly reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to defending the homeland, stating, “We know how to defend our motherland.”

Speaking to cadets and dignitaries at the ceremony, General Munir criticized Indian media and social media for attempting to distort historical facts through traditional propaganda. He emphasized that such efforts would not succeed in misleading the people of Pakistan.

Highlighting the ideological foundation of the country, the Army Chief reiterated that Muslims and Hindus are fundamentally different in their religion, customs, traditions, ways of thinking, and aspirations. “The basis of the two-nation theory lies in these fundamental differences,” he said.

General Munir paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the forefathers of the nation in the struggle for an independent homeland. “Our ancestors rendered immense sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. It was not just a geographical separation, but a civilizational and ideological one,” he stated.

Reaffirming the relevance of the two-nation theory, he asserted that it has always been the ideological cornerstone of Pakistan’s existence. “The religion, culture, language, and civilization of Muslims and Hindus are completely distinct,” he added.

General Munir’s address comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, underlining the Pakistan Army’s resolve to remain vigilant and uphold the nation’s sovereignty.
