CEO of Pakistan International Airlines AVM Amir Hayat called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday.

Appreciating Ishaq Dar’s continued support, the CEO of PIA requested further diplomatic assistance for resumption of flights to the United Kingdom.

He acknowledged that necessary groundwork was laid in 2022-23 tenure of PDM government, enabling PIA and Civil Aviation Authority to meet international requirements which led to resumption of PIA flights to European Union in November last year.

On the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister said he and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are actively engaged with the UK authorities to ensure lifting of the ban at the earliest.
