Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to develop sustainable, climate-resilient and inclusive agri-food systems.

Addressing the forty-fourth session of the Food and Agriculture Organization Conference in Rome, he said Pakistan was undergoing wide-ranging national reforms aimed at modernizing its agricultural sector.

The Minister highlighted that these measures are designed to create a more equitable and robust food system that improves nutrition, supports livelihoods, and ensures long-term food security for all.

He assured that Pakistan would continue to support FAO’s governance processes and contribute constructively to its agenda.

The Minister also called upon the global community to deepen cooperation and solidarity in the face of escalating food system challenges.
