
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has underscored the potential to further deepen ties between Pakistan and ASEAN member states across diverse areas including trade, tourism, connectivity, IT, and education.
He was talking to ASEAN Heads of Missions in Pakistan including Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia, who called on him in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The meeting took place ahead of the Deputy Prime Minister’s participation in the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting, to be held in Malaysia later this week.
The Deputy Prime Minister also acknowledged strong Pak-ASEAN cooperation.
The ASEAN Heads of Missions reaffirmed the importance of Pakistan’s partnership with ASEAN and its member states.
