Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed for strict implementation of ex-mill price of sugar at 165 rupees per kg and retail price of 173 rupees per kg as was agreed between Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and the government.
Chairing a meeting on sugar related issues in Islamabad today, he also directed strict action against those violating the agreement and charging prices above the agreed ones.
The Prime Minister said no one will be allowed to economically exploit the people and action is underway against those who are creating artificial shortage of sugar.
