
The 22nd death anniversary of Ghazi-e-Millat and founding President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan is being observed today (Thursday). Today is a public holiday in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Quran recitation and Fateha will be offered at his mausoleum in Rawalakot to pay homage to the late Kashmiri leader’s soul. Events and seminars have been organized in all district headquarters to pay tribute to the great leader’s contributions to the freedom struggle and the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In the state capital Muzaffarabad, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell will organize a function at the Khursheed National Library. Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan passed away today in 2003.
