
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says Pakistan and Iran have a vital role in fostering regional stability, promoting joint cooperation, and advancing important initiatives across various sectors.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA today (Friday), he said the two countries are key actors in maintaining peace and stability across the region.
Talking about the upcoming visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Islamabad, Attaullah Tarar said it will further help strengthening the bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries. He said Iranian President’s official visit is an important milestone and a continuation of the positive momentum in diplomatic ties, which has been witnessed in recent months.
The Minister said Iran and Pakistan enjoy excellent relations, which have been growing at the highest levels in the past months.
Referring to the late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Pakistan last year, he said the foundation for stronger relations was laid during that trip, with commitments spanning trade, investment, and other shared areas of interest.
It is pertinent to mention that President Masoud Pezeshkian is visiting Pakistan tomorrow.
