Nationwide observances are being held today to mark National Police Martyrs’ Day, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifices of police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in their separate messages, saluted the martyrs and stressed the importance of strengthening police capabilities through modern training and equipment to meet evolving security challenges.

President Zardari reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to remembering the sacrifices of its martyrs and ensuring continued support for their families.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that over 8,000 police personnel have embraced martyrdom in the war against terrorism, protecting millions of lives. He also praised the Pakistan Police for their global recognition, including recent accolades at the World Police Summit 2025.
