Newly appointed US Consul General Stetson Sanders called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore on Thursday.
The Chief Minister congratulated him on assuming charge as Consul General in Pakistan.
During the meeting, bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, energy, technology, agriculture, and educational exchanges came under discussion.
The Chief Minister said the increase in Pak-US bilateral trade volume is a positive sign.
She said that the provincial government is focusing on water-efficient farming, precision agriculture, and cold chain infrastructure development. She invited US agri-tech companies to invest in these areas.
