Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party have agreed to jointly contest the upcoming by-elections in the country.
This was announced by PPP leader and former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf during a joint news conference with Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry in Islamabad today.
Providing details of the agreed-upon formula, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said both parties will nominate their runner-up candidates in the national and provincial assembly constituencies as their candidates in the by-elections.
He said both parties will support each other’s candidates in the by-elections.
