Chairman China International Cooperation met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Geneva on Monday.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked Chinese government and people for extending support to flood affected people of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said Chinese support in every difficult time signifies Pak-China long lasting friendship.

He said recently China helped Pakistan in agriculture, infrastructure, energy and other sectors while CPEC projected our friendship further.

The Prime Minister stressed on the importance to continue work on ML-1 and Karachi circular projects and also highlighted the significance of these projects for Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said government is making every effort to reduce its dependency on imported fuel for energy production. He said for this purpose government’s ten Megawatt solar energy project is of great value.

Chairman China International Cooperation assured the Prime Minister that his government will provide the possible assistance to Pakistan for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
