District Nazima of Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing, Farhat Shamshad, has said that symbolic ceasefires are not a viable solution to the ongoing crisis in Palestine. She emphasized that the only real and lasting resolution lies in the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state — a one-state solution.

In a statement issued from Rawalpindi, she urged the government of Pakistan to take concrete steps by officially banning Zionist products and supporting the Palestinian cause at all levels. She also called for a global boycott of Zionist goods, stating that mere statements of condemnation are insufficient in the face of the relentless oppression in Gaza.

Farhat Shamshad further appealed to the rulers of the Islamic world to unite and take decisive action against the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people. “The oppressed people of Gaza need more than just words; they need concrete political, humanitarian, and diplomatic support,” she added.

She demanded that the Government of Pakistan officially declare full support for the Palestinian people and take immediate steps to provide all possible assistance.
